* Ensure that the diagnosis of insomnia is correct and/or to determine if CBT is appropriate for you,
* Instruct you on how to keep and interpret the assessments and sleep diaries,
* Tailor treatment to you based upon the sleep diary data, and
* Supervise treatment-having a "partner" in the process makes it easier to comply with, and benefit from, treatment.
